It’s unfortunate, but it’s true. Sometimes it seems the whole jurong east smells. And the odour hits especially when you step out of the train. Today, it smelled like I was suddenly a hamster in Hamster-ville.

Also, on the last train home one night, I saw a group of people with speech disabilities using 3G phones to video call. And they were happily passing the phones around, waving to whoever was on the other end of the line. I was probably ambivalent, like many others, to the whole idea of video calling, when it was unveiled. But now, it just struck me how big a difference it must have made to some lives.

Janice's horror stories of group assignments in uni sound quite scary, but I think I still can't wait. haha. I think I found this part of me that actually likes change, when it happens.

got myself a 3-in-1 printer, and to celebrate (haha) i scanned in a sketch of the random objects in my room

Haha! In celebration of me getting “published” for the first time, I can now reveal this! I did this illustration for wenyi as per her requirements - for her school’s Law Career Fair. Many thanks to Wenyi for the opportunity..Hoorah! Images look a bit blur here though; they look sharper on the other site. The blue one was used eventually; the colour one was probably impossibly expensive to print anyway!

A half hour tablet sketch of a photo i saw on someone's flickr. I dropped by my tumblog (atumble.tumblr.com) to post this picture up there too, and I saw Wenyi's tumblog. it's as updated as ever with great pictures from everywhere. very dedicated! or, tumblr's concept of quick blogging/tagging/reposting really works for people. If i ever need a source of great photo inspirations i just go to her tumblog, really.

Alright I decided I'm back at this blog. while keeping the other pictureblog which is starting to fade away. So I may as well do both here. To celebrate here's the same picture of laundry haha. It's the boring days that spark these ideas of change.

just keeps getting weirder.

dream: we're at a restaurant, selecting from the menu. janice, james, xy, fy, wy and i. and they serve only fish and chips, varied by length of each type of fish. like the way some restaurants have their steaks by weight? and suddenly wanying gets emotional, buries her head in the menu - and between sobs she tells us how sad it is that the fish will never ever grow longer, just like how she'll never grow taller.

i'd feel sorry, but it's the truth. at least in the dream

The dentist asked me if i had any last questions about my surgery.
"If i have a buffet appointment tonight, i should cancel?"
Dentist does Evil Chuckle as she proceeds to put on her gloves.

All in all it was actually quite a quick process. with embarrassing consequences such as getting laughed at by the girl at the pharmacy counter because i could hardly talk (with the bloody gauze in my mouth). It was as last minute as it could get, and i remember calling my mum before that, with a dramatic tone of fatality, to tell her to cook some porridge for me.

It's ironic that i find that i have so much to say when i can't talk, and my own computer isn't working. These two weeks promise to be the most eventful of late; it's a mad rush leading up to the final release that is ord, and then of course its back to the surgery room for wisdomtooth no. 2. But for some reason although everything is not going according to plan (at all) , i'm taking things in my stride - probably due to the solace of a list of unread books, and unfinished drawings. and i shall do reunion dinner anyway, not because it's particularly tasty, but only because it's reunion dinner.

today, my dad offered to help my mum wash the toilets, - for an errand fee. hahaha i don't believe it either.

my grandmother just dropped by for a visit, and i realize she probably knows what everyone (each of her children) is having for dinner on any particular day. my mum and aunts lead very connected lives on an interwoven web. it's one gossip girl network. it probably has something to do with the way their generation was brought up: with 10 other siblings.

I crossed a small pedestrian crossing today, and this little boy danced in front of the car stopped in front of the crossing, just because he could, and as a taunt to the driver. I gave Boy a wide mouthed look of judgement, but he was too engrossed in his peculiar brand of enjoyment.

the medication and trauma (possibly) transmorgified my midday dream into something closer to a twisted nightmare : i dreamt i decided to brave the buffet and i went for it in the end (because i really did want to go, in reality) , but everyone sorta hated me and ignored me, except for shuojie, whom i then proceeded to share my Tonkatsu Set (in tupperware, retrieved from my bag) with. Daffy arrives later, lugging a guitar. She plays James Morrison's "you make it real for me", acoustic, and it's beautiful. For some reason, some others ignore her as well, and i share what's left of my Tonkatsu Set with her.

I woke up before it got any weirder.
